those are probably a composite material as they have put them on alot of vehicles ive broke em compressing the pistons with a big pair of channel locks..

Pad material rusted , fell apart and pistons traveled out to far and broke , they are fragile , phenolic material

Seems that is exactly what happened. I'm a little peeved since the pads still had about 3/4 life left in them. Gotta love road saltOriginally Posted by 575cat
