Just purchased a 2011 Ford 350 6.7 and towed 1200 miles to Tickfaw and back, the truck was really impressive. Rig was a over 26,000 lbs

Do NOT get a 6.0L. There are two kinds of 6.0L's...good ones, and garbage ones. The ratio is about 50/50. The good ones aren't for sale, and the time bombs are about to blow. Like the one I just got rid of, nothing but issues.

The 6.4's are supposedly a little better, but not by much. The ones that run are horrible on fuel mileage.

The new 6.7's are supposedly bulletproof awesome packages, but there aren't enough of them around with high enough miles to say for certain.
Had a 7.3 with like 200K on it and my dad still drives it all the time towing his camper and that was 5-6 yrs ago. I've since had 2 F450's with the 6.4's and they ran great if you can stand getting 12mpg on the highway and about 9 towing the boat! On long trips I had to stop about 25%-30% more for fuel than anyone else in our crowd when we pulled together. I have a 650 with a C7 now so I get great mileage and can tow a building if necessary!

Ya the 7.3 motor is like a greater at Wal Mart pretty nice and does a couple things good but don't ask or expect too much.

The injectors are pieces of **** HUEI just plain sucks. Oh and the oil systems are garbage as well.

So I went to check out the new Cummings yesterday, just for shyts and giggles (knew I would be upside down on trade so no intent to buy anything, but never hurts to look).... Salesmen said he'd make it work for me since my truck was fairly new.. He offered me $24,500 for mine and only took $5k of the 3500 I was looking at (all the 2500's he had were work trucks for the most part with no options so I passed on those)... I asked him about the "internet" price I saw when I was looking at the truck online and the typical dealer response was "Thats if you qualify for all the incentives".. I said, well then, thats false advertising because it was listed as an "internet" price, not "after incentives" price.. lol Had to stir it up a bit...

I was in the same dilema, the F150 I used to tow your boat with was not up to the job for the new one. I do like the Dodges but settled on the 7.3l Ford from a buddy who I knew took great care of it.
