Using a smaller ball on the hitch will help a lot with your trailer braking issues. It gives the truck a second or so to slow down before the boat does. Also helps a lot when trying to pass on the double yellow. When you punch it, the truck will speed up faster than the boat for a second or so and it'll really make a difference in slingshotting around other cars. You can also bump up the PSI on your front trailer axle to gain some height, but was mentioned earlier don't pull your boat all the way onto the trailer, that'll help with the weight bias.

How does it do on mossy boatramps?

I've always learned that the best way to make more HP is to add restriction to an engine, and make it harder to pump air. That thing must be worth a good 5 hp (at the wheels).

I am a family man, so a pickup just won't get it done. Gotta go with an SUV, myself. Plus if I ever upgrade to a gooseneck boat trailer, I will be all set.

too funny

The Z28 rims dropped the towing capacity just a little bit.

Thumbs up

I wish I would have ordered the submarine option but funds were just a bit low at the time, now with my new paper route and mom helping me out I may be able to get it aftermarket.

It makes launching a breeze!

Actually with this new paper route I just may be able to get a bigger motor..

Cool. If you get that bigger motor AND the submarine option you could actually tow a submarine.

Today I noticed this guy towing his small sea ray with his Buick Crossover. I thought when I first saw it, it was alot of boat for that vehicle. Then I took a closer look at his hitch. WTF. He got out to pump gas and he had his little boy strapped in a car seat in the back. Nothin like safety first for your children.

now that this thread is exposing the towing capabilitys of the s10,the value of them will no doubt go sky high,i wonder if a vw bus would be good for towing boats.

I do not know about the VW bus but the newer VW bugs with the diesels are more than capable.
