Default Ways to beef up my Yukon

so I have been pulling my 30 Concept with our 2010 Yukon for a couple months, it does the job fine for the 3-5 mile trip to the ramp, but I want to try and beef it up if I can. I replaced the rer shocks with RS 9000 and tow on the highest setting, that was a night and day difference, no bounce now. I think the brakes are the next thing to tackle, wold better pads make a difference? I have the factory tow package which I think includes a bigger tranny cooler? Should I be looking at a bigger cooler?

Thanks

I have a 2007 tahoe and stuck a B&M cooler on (the one with the fan unit). Id do that first. Also put air bags on the rear like you. It does help. Dont have an issue with braking...

yeah, I think I need to check out my trailer brakes first, the rotors have too much surface rust for them to be working,

E load range tires will help
EOH traler brakes
Air bags in addition to the ranchos
They do make big brake upgrades like brembo, wilwood, etc.

I swapped our factory brakes on our GCM 2500HD with Powerslot rotors, EBC pads (Green/Yellow) and Russell stainless steel lines. The stopping power improved over the factory set up to say the least!

If you get after market SS lines make sure you check they will not rub on your wheels! And if there is any play zip tie them to the caliper bracket! I lost my brakes because the dealership forgot to check for play and rubbing, Russell was just a little longer than OEM. Thankfully no one got hurt, never mind killed!!

Good tune also will make a nice difference with not just the engine but shifting. Black Bear is well known with GM trucks.

if you want more power, then get a custom tune . . . not a hand held tune
If you want a little more power with out loosing bottom end torque do a cam swap . . . 212/218 works really nice

Tranny cooler . . . look for a Tru Cool 40GRW with out the external bypass

I have a Black Bear tune on my 95' Z71. What a differance. You 2010' brakes are pretty darn good. Factory rotors are good. EBC pads would be an improvement for towing.

Before you start putting a lot of money out that you will never see back, look into what a used Denali would cost you. It has the level ride and the engine is night and day.

Just went with the PowerSlots on all four wheels of my Denali, with their extra heavy pads. I am very happy with them and huge improvement over stock. If you go this route, be sure to break them in per the instruction though.

I was able to find them for $400 shipped to the door...complete with 4 rotors and pads.
