+1 and i have lifter crew cab f450 4x4 with a dump body on my alm 9000 lift with no problems...

watch what you buy tho,,the Chinese copanys are not ul rated and the columns separate the higher they go..if you ever look at a rotery lift you will see that they weld a piece of steel across the open part of the column to keep the lifting section from falling out..

out of all the lifts out their which have gottin cheaper with design the only 2 i would buy is mohawk or ALM..most 12k lifts weigh around 2000 to 2300 lbs...the mohawks and alm weight are about 3k

BTW all the above ground lifts have safety locks so if somthing goes the truck wont fall on you..

That number comes directly from the inside of my door..... I went and double checked it this morning. 11400 is what it says. I do have scales just up the road from me......maybe I'll check for myself!

I think you are looking at the towing or payload capacity.

The curb weight of that truck is not 11K lbs, more like 7K, maybe 8K tops.

I never heard of a 1 ton truck weighing that much. You must be looking at the trailer tow rating.

11,400 GVWR probably but no way that's the curb weight. If it was then you'd have to have a 15k gvw to be able to carry a 3500 lb payload. Bet the curb weight is more like 8000ish. Also never saw the curb weight printed on a door tag, but gvw always is. 9k will do it.

Thank you guys....you learn something new every damn day!!! You all are correct the GVWR is 11400 and the "CURB WEIGHT" is 6,540!

Here are the specs from Road and Track.....

http://buyersguide.roadandtrack.com/...d/specs/289744

I now feel VERY comfortable with a 8K lift! Thank you guys!!!!
