Default 42' Cigarette Huntress - Ship from Lauderdale/Miami - BVI

The details are below.

Length – 42’
Beam – 12’
Height – 12’
Weight - 18,900
Make/Model – 2014 – Cigarette Huntress

42' Cigarette Huntress

The boat is being built in Miami, but our condo is in Ft Lauderdale. We are going to a wedding at Necker Island and would like to have the boat there for the time period of April 13th-20th 2014.

We can use a cradle to ship the boat but I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to ship it on a trailer and then put it on the ship. I thought about shipping it to Puerto Rico and then driving it the rest of the way, but I understand you have to pay a hefty tax in order to do that in Puerto Rico. Someone else told me it’s cheaper to ship to St. Thomas.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a shipping company?

Send a message to Bobthebuilder on here. He ships his 50 Nor-tech down to the islands every year. I am sure he can help you out with any of the logistics.

Easy solution!!! Contact Seastar.. Shipping Agents, Shipping to Puerto Rico, Shipping to Caribbean ? Sea Star Line They ship out of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale. Put it on a trailer. Ship it to St. Thomas. Launch the boat from St. Thomas and go to Necker Island. I could find a place for you to leave the trailer for a few days. Might cost a few $ for storage for the trailer. PM me if you need more info!
