Supposedly that's the same gas mileage as my Pontiac G8 GT and could tow my Sunsation Dominator.

Thoughts on it? Anyone have one yet?
I looked at the new ones on the local lot. HATE the rear window sills......look like they came right off a Tundra and the "Made in Mexico" doesn't vibe with "the Heartbeat of America" idea.

The deal breaker for me (GM only 1989-2010, had 9 new trucks) was all the 1500's are made in Silag, Mexico........I bought my first Ford in 2011. I will say the Ford interior is great, the seams on the bottom of the doors are sloppy and look like an ideal place for rust to start. GM got stale with their interiors and the "rubber basketball" pattern on the doors/interior plastics is lame.
plus back row of a GM Crew cab has no room compared to a Ford.

The new 2014 Chevy/GMC 1500 has more room in the back seat, much quieter and has more power. Active fuel mgmt brings the fuel economy up to beat the Ecoboost Ford. All new interior is on par with Ford and Ram now. The 2014 GM HD looks the same but has all new mechanicals. I drove a '14 Duramax and it was sweet. Much quieter inside than my '08 and gets better fuel economy. I was very impressed. The new 1500 is one impressive truck and when they release the High Country Package, it will be on par with Fords King Ranch. The owner of my marina has a '12 F150 ecoboost and it's been back in the shop so many times that they said one more time and he will get a new replacement truck.

I know at least 4 guys with ecoboost. All get killer gas mileage. The one with non 3.73 gears gets 24 mpg on freeway 75 mph. Others get right at 20-21. Pulls better than most order diesels. Only one had a issue at first then all got recall for new intercoolers and reflag and all are even more peppy and get better in town. Great trucks, wish they cold pull a little more as I think my 33 active thunders a touch to much. I'd own one in a minute

Yes we do plus they put some new deicer liquid/ syrup on the roads. Its some nasty stuff! I really like the F150 limited 6.2 liter with a towing capacity of11,000lbs! I don't buy trucks for gas mileage.

One of my coworkers bought a '14 Z71 4x4 (1/2 ton)
He consistently knocks down 20mpg.
He just hauled his sons SS Camaro and his V8 powered barstool to the Camaro nationals in Indy and averaged over 17.
It has lots more rear leg room than my 09.
BTW, I love my Chevy, and will definetly buy anothèr one.

Well your buddy either lies or can't do math!

No way are you averaging over 17 pulling a loaded car trailer unless it is a one way downhill trip! This was Car and Driver's experience with the 2014 5.3/ 4X4. They averaged 13 mpg while in their possession.
