Thanks for the lesson, I guess I've just been stupied for all the year I've used Timbrens, My 2008 F-350 Powerstroke, with factory Class V hitch only had 650lbs of tounge wt and 6000 lbs. of weight carrying capacity. So in reality they only way he's going to get legal is by going to a weight distribution set up.

Ha, now we are in a WHOLE new gray area.

The common/OEM/factory "V-5 Ford Hitch' is only rated for that garbage Class-III rating. That's been discussed on here before.
The truck and frame are rated for more with Weight Carrying IF you upgrade the hitch to their 2.5" hitch OR another aftermarket hitch that is truly Class 5 rated.

My dealer set my boat up with scales on the trailer. I don't know the details of what they did, but the tounge wieght is perfect, and it does not wag or whip around when towing. Maybe compare my pic to yours? No sad at all, I do have air bags but do not run air in them when towing

Trailer model is myco mtr 37-39

I do not promote towing with a 1/2 ton! (sorry sydwayz, trying to help with trailer)

That's one way to scoot the boat back; drive up a VERY steep hill.
I can't believe you can do that with a SRW.

As tough as it is for me to say it; I am a Tundra fan. The 2007 and up trucks are fantastic. I can't vouch for towing though.

It looks to me even with the angled picture, that your boat sits 4-6" or so further back than the OP.

I agree that he has room to move. My friend has a 38 on a performance trailer just like the OP. Let me see if I can find a pic of his set up. His is also well balanced.

Here it is, also at an angle. Brian, I think you make a good point with the hitch height as well, having a hitch too low can cause the the same problem. I still think he can move back a little too

I have towed this boat on the performance trailer, same same, no sag. On the performance trailer the boat height overall is lower than my myco, which helps with launching.

Go to a scale and weigh the complete boat/trailer combination and then weigh just the jack stand - It should be 10% of the total.
It looks to me that you have too much tongue weight.
Moving the boat back on the trailer will lower the tongue weight and raise the back of the truck.
When sitting on a road that is totally flat the trailer should be level with the road if your set up is proper.

I would stay by scooting the boat back a bit first you might be surprised at the difference. Scale it!! Scale the truck then hook boat up and scale it see where the weight is.
