Default Ford hits it out of the Park with the new GT

First- I am a GM guy through and through. Dad worked for GM for 40 years- was a high level executive. I grew up driving Firebirds, Grand Prix, etc. Own a Duramax, lease a Regal. Trash the 6.0 and 6.4 Ford diesels (for good reason)...

Went to the Detroit Auto Show sunday.

No question, Ford has the best car there. Sorry about the crowds in the pics. The new GT is out of this world. Fresh, cutting edge, it is all a new Ford GT should be and more....

The new Mustang was great too.

Z06 Corvette- best sports car for under 100k that will whip the Porsche and Ferrari's.

For those that can go, do its worth the 13$
I am going again during the week so I don't have the crowds to deal with and get some real pics.

IMO, they should of tooled up a new engine also, a car like that should have a V12 in it or at least a V8 in it

Video with car driving out towards the end..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMD3Vu3xL-c

Sounds like a stock V6 Mercruiser with thru hulls..
Then again at the F1 race this year here I thought the new V6 F1 cars sounded
like ass compared to last years cars.. Just as fast as last year but half the excitement when they go by..
EVERYONE thought the same,,from the drivers to the fans..
Speed isnt everything..

I'm betting the Eco-boost 6 is in the car for marketing reasons. Ford has the future of their entire product portfolio heavily leveraged against that platform.

600 HP out of it is surely showing it off for folks that haven't "bought in" to a V6 tow rig. JMO.

personally I dont like the new GT. it looks like a replica Lambo to me. they lost all of what makes it a GT40. I know styles change but the new mustang doesnt look like a BMW, etc, etc. if they just want to try and make cars that look like a Ferrari or Lambo then they should name it something different.

I dont like it either, and the powerplant is gayer than 2 dudes humpin in the back of a Prius.

I doubt it will effect the resale of the older ones much, they are still worth crazy money, even crashed ones.
