You laugh but there's the picture and why would I lie? Boat wet is 14000 lbs plus trailer. Pulled it from Jackson Ms to Pickwick and it did great. It has average mpg readout and it was 10.7.

My readout has never gone below 10.5, but fill ups seem to occur significantly more often when towing heavy loads. Same v10, I get 7 or 8 towing.

Could be, but I can't argue with a computer when all I have is my fingers and toes to do math. I know I traveled 275 miles and still had a 1/4 tank. Been a solid truck so far.

F350 SRW v10 gas 4x4 pulling 16000lbs and getting 11MPH while doing it. No problems unless your in mountains, then it's working real hard. I use this to pull the boat (405 Performance), going out in woods, and for crap chores around the house that I don't want to do with a new truck. Paid 13,000.00 with under 100k miles. Could not be happier with the truck and the V10 and from what I hear I don't want a Ford diesel because of all the problems with them.
The mileage while pulling is amazing.
Not all Ford diesels need to be avoided. Some were bulletproof, like the 7.3, and the 6.7 is looking to be pretty good too.

You can't use the readout...I believe you are truthful in that's what it is telling you, but those things are far from accurate in my experience, and get even worse if you are running a tuner.

Lot's of Horror story about all diesels on-line, that's pretty much because people don't log on to praise what they have, they log on to ***** about what went wrong.

I'm approaching 100k on my 2010 F250 6.4L, I want to get rid of it, only because I want the 6.7L. Truck has been flawless other than having a transmission temp sensor go bad, and had to replace an alternator at round 90k. It's not going anywhere, airbags showed up last week, and compressor kit showed up today.

I'll take it over a gasser any day of the week...Nothing like listening to a turbo spool up and the rpms remaining level, vs dropping a gear on a gas truck and listening to the rpms climb by 3000....

In my case ignorance is bliss. Just fill it up and go. You must remember I graduated from the Jethro Bodine School of Advanced Math. Well almost graduated.

Diesel trucks are by far the best way to go. I only use this to pull the boat and for what I paid for it, seemed like a workable match.
