New guy here, buying first boat with a much more experienced but currently indisposed friend.

I'm buying a boat this week that is currently in northwest Michigan and I need it to leave there around this weekend and arrive in Houston TX in the same condition in which it left (as opposed to scattered all along the highway). I put the transport up for bid on Uship, but at the advice of another friend (thanks Captain YARRR), I wanted to get the community's thoughts.

If anyone here has someone they'd recommend, is already planning on being in the area and would prefer to come back this way (maybe from the Key West PR!) with a paying job rather than empty truck, or otherwise has the time and availability to pick up the boat this coming up weekend or so (after 11/20), I'd appreciate a note. I've never shipped a boat and the buddy we had lined up to do the work fell through this morning!

I was empty hauling from key west to Houston to Columbus. Not sure how long I'll be up here and how quickly you need to move but I'll watch the thread.

Where at in Michigan is it? What are the dimensions? Trailer condition?
