Its been stated a few time for me to get a scanner ( and I am ) to monitor the oil & coolant temps, does this mean my gauges aren't reading properly ?? This is a Lariat package and has gauges for engine & trans temps and of course oil pressure

Get the X4...it will do everything you need. The guages on the dash are not accurate like the ones the computer reads, also I don't think you have an oil temp guage in the factory dash. I can watch my coolant temp move 20 degrees on my monitor and the factory coolant temp guage doesn't move. I like to know exactly where my Temps are running at. Having an actual number to watch helps tell what is going on, for example...you want your oil temp to be no more the 10 degrees hotter than coolant temp when cruising. If the difference is greater it is a sign that your oil cooler is clogged and should be replaced.
My truck is an 04 I bought new and is my daily driver, I did all my own work on it and spent a long time learning what to do to make the truck reliable and fun. There are other ways to go about it with other parts but these have all worked for me and haven't seen anything else on the market yet that makes me regret spending the money I have on these parts.

The oil temps on these are monitored by the pcm and not a gauge. You will not know the oil temps are getting hot unless it derates the truck. Usually will set a ect/ eot correlation code. Sometimes not. I believe its in the 230-240 deg range it starts derating. Letting these trucks set is not good like the others have stated.
The coolant breaks down and the turbo unison ring rusts to the housing. Pse, spartan, innovative are all good tunes for the 6.7. Sct for the 6.0.

Update, I bought the SCT-X4 as suggested, hooked the tuner up and put the 60 hp tow tune in it, man did it wake it up pulled the boat back from OK about a 5 hr trip and I had no issues, 65-70 all the way home, no limp mode, no codes to date, I've keep it at home and driven it daily for about a month, taking it and the boat back to the lake in a couple weeks, thanks to everyone for all the input,
Mike T, this tuner will also perform on your 6.7
