Yes, '73. Was a transition year away from steel/chrome bumpers. '72 chrome front and rear, '74 plastic front and rear.

73 454 Vette with a 78 454 Jet boat. I was driving that day buts its a buddy of mine. I talked him into it because we used to tow a Ski Nautique with a matching Silver anniversary vette. My friend had ordered the Nautique to match the car.

My buddy found a factory hitch on E-bay for the 73. It tows great but think about it. The Vette has a BBC, Turbo 400, 4 wheel disk brakes, and a pretty stiff suspension. Most 1/2 ton trucks in those days had inline 6 or SB, turbo 350's and maybe disk Front brakes.

Love the Mark IV with the race car behind it and Sonics setup.

And people now say you need a dully to tow anything! LOL

That’s what I thought. Needed to double check my memory with the brains trust here.

Would be nice. In years past it was in partnership they built the Kodiaks with Monroe Truck and equipment in the Flint plant. Just before I bought my current truck, I called Monroe direct to "build" a 5500 chassis and they said they were not interested. So at this point, I would be interested in seeing what GM is moving towards and with who?

Used to hook my 440 kawasaki stand up jet ski to my '79 Trans Am.
Everyone got a kick out of me racing AND doing donuts with the ski and trailer back there
