big red 38 velocity
going to try one more time looking for one of big reds 2 brother boats they only made two wondering if anyone may have seen them in the past 10 years in someones back yard or something. looking for 1 hull and deck. it is not the 39 it was a 38, 3 were made and one was wood any info plese post thanks all who post

big red(s) were not 41's. 38' and change, add integrated platform and round up...shazam! 41'.
cut down the hull and use an integrated platform deck...presto! the 39'

This Formula man was a two time new Velocity owner over 9 years. First met Steve in 1991. They all speak of it (Red) these days as a 41, 'cause it's the same bottom. Certianly they do on the website so as not to confuse the masses.
Suffice it to say, the originator of this thread knows what he's talking about.
As for the LOA, the present day 41' would be marketed as a 43' if the original boats were 41' without a platform, now wouldn't they? See my last post.

The wood boat ran well. I have some video of it racing several races, here somewhere.
This 26' flying in perfect trim would be me circa 1994

what ever the length i am looking for the big red in the above post in that post i thought on the stern of the boat it said competition 38 but anyway i am looking for that boat with those lines not any thing new with todays look thanks you, all for the help i talked to the factory they are also wondering what happened to those 3 that were made.
