280 Dash Panel
Help... I have a 1996 280 with the typical dash panels on the driver and passenger side. These are not like the late model panel. This is a smaller gauge area then the new ones.
What I need is the white panel that the gauges mount in. It is 3/16" thick white plastlic with a machine beveled edge. I ordered one from Velocity and it came in much larger with a corbon fiber print on it.
I've taken the old one to several plastic and machine shops and they aren't sure they match the bevel or the rounded corners.
I need to reconfigure the layout to accomodate bezels.
Any help would be great.

Vicious22, I wonder if plexiglass would work and then paint it. I have a vendor here that I have had do a lot of custom work for all kind of things and they can make any shape, size and thickness. Let me know it you want me to check on this if it is an option

Re: 280 Dash Panel
I have a 1995 and I imagine i have the same dash panel as you. I recently bought the boat and sent it to the shop to get some work done. while its been in there I bought new gauges and bezels. I never even considered the fact that the gauges may be too close together until now. I can't check, since the boat is at the shop, but I was wondering if you checked out the slimline bezels at eddie marine? If those fit, and the regular bezels don't, i may have to return the ones i bought for the slimlines or do without bezels all together since i wasn't planning on replacing the dash. Good luck and keep me posted since it looks like I may be in the same predicament.

Re: 280 Dash Panel
I have some custom dash panels for a 1995 280 that I'm sure would also fit a 1996. They are powder coated red and have the gauge holes spaced out for bezel. Also new switch panel with laser etching and a few other custom panels (passenger side with Velocity etched into it and a panel for the right side with a hole cut out for a mechanical indicator). If you are interested let me know.
