Looks very nice. What torque numbers did those motors make? What drives are you going to be running?

Max torque is 608.1 @ 5000. Has 565.8 @3800 and basically runs high 500 to low 600 all the way through 6200rpm.

The drives I have are TRS. I know these are a little old school and there are a lot of differing opinions on their durability but I also know they took this boat over the century mark before with old school 3 blade props. I'm hoping the Bravo 28's I have will work better.

Thanks all for the words of encouragement. As you can see from the age of this thread, this has been a long labor of love.

Well, if this math works, my 1302 HP should take me 125?! I don't think the curve quite works like that but I like the direction!!!! Shouldn't have any trouble getting well into the 80's I suspect which is my minimum goal. From there, it is gravy.

Thanks Padraig. Really looking forward to getting this thing in the water for the first time this summer/fall.

From a price / performance perspective, I couldn't find anything close to these engines. Fred was great to work with and actually has a 130mph cat himself so he is a boat guy that builds racecar engines. Knows what he is talking about. I got 652 HP, brand new dart block, all forged internals, AFR heads, full roller valve train, etc... These motors make big power and were affordable.

No others were close and I looked around a lot.

Yea.!! You'll be in the 80's easy.! My boats probably heavier than yours, and I'm 550 a side, spinning 28 4 blades, and getting 83... Your lighter, more hp and can turn the props a few 100 more rpms I'd say... Your boat is gonna run good! Love the work your doing.!! Your boat is bad a$$.!!
