Default Cracking Engine hatch

I have a 1997 26'. The hatch is cracking along the sides around the air intake holes and starting to work it's way along the bottom. After removing the sun pad this area looks some-what weak (the hatch lifts from the front center). Has anyone run into this? Looking for suggestion for reinforcing.

Thanks
Paul

Mine is doing the same thing on a 98 model. Haven't fixed it yet, just trying to keep any fat chicks off the sunpad until I can fix it! I talked to a fiberglass company who wanted $700 to build the fiberglass up from the inside and refinish outside crack. I am not sure if this would help or not because I am not sure what caused the crack in the first place.

Gotta be careful with the beer too! Weight restrictions seem to go up with th amount of beer.

How long has yours been like that. I've owned this boat a year. My biggest concern is causing more damage by putting off repairing it.

Have you been out on LKN yet this year? Sent you a PM about some carb issues I was having last year wondering if you could assist

It is nice to hear that they didn't overcharge you to fix something they could have just done right in the first place.
