Default whats it worth

Hey guy, I have a friend that owns a marine i do some biz with and he has this Velocity for sale. He took it in on a trade towards another boat and really wants to move this thing. I dont know much about the brand but this seems to be a pretty well built boat. Got nice power with Edelbrock heads, GIL Magnum exhaust, full roller valvetrain, an a bunch of other goodies (nicely rigged to). Was told it does high seventies. Boat appears to be in pretty good shape overall and needing mostly cosmetics stuff, a bit of cleaning and maybe some carpet to have it standing tall. is it worth 25K to move it quickly (i know its a tuff market right now) Just trying to get an idea of what its worth to get my friend pointed in the right direction.

Sounds like a fair price to start at , looks good in the pictures . Have seen them cheaper , but not in as good a condition . In this economy more bargain hunters than buyers . Best of luck ! Ray P S Sounds like a Regal to me

whats the correlation with Regal/Velocity/Steve Stepp? Just curious what the connection is. Kinda like Scarab and Larry Smith?

In 1986, Steve leased the Velocity name and the 22 and 30- foot molds to Regal Marine; and they were built as Regal Velocity models.

How do the Regal Velocity's rate? I'm sure they are not on par with the Stepp built boats but are they pretty solid? Would this boat be a Regal?

88 is a regal. Heavy compared to a Stepp boat. seen a few with bad transoms and stringers too. Pretty decent in the overall picture.
