Wow! $2.559 here today in good old New York. But this state is in big trouble budget wise and even talking an increase in gas tax now that gas is, in their terms, so cheap again.

Well, for the first time in 3 years, I paid under $2 for a gal of gas today.
Crazy chit; I remember paying $4.29 at times this past Summer.

I think the inflation adjusted price for gas should be north of $3 a gallon. Imagine what the price of boats would be if that held true? Or houses. Or beer !!!

Perhaps everyone should sit back and take note of why big oil and refinery companies didn't invest tens of billions of dollars in drilling and new refineries. Not to mention wonder why they exported more diesel this year than ever. It's called going where the money is.

For minds that want to know, It cost approx $18.00 to get a barrel, 42 gal. of oil out of the ground in the U.S. That is if my service is not needed. In Irac it cost about $2.50 to get a barrel out of the ground that's because you don't need a drilling rig in Irac you just need a shovel. Out of that one barrel you can get about 19½ gallons of gasoline, 9 gallons of fuel oil, 4 gallons of jet fuel, and 11 gallons of other products like rubbers.

The pdf below is the well I am presently drilling. The red line is the planned well path and the black line is tha actual well path. The pay zone is 7' thick, if you drill a straight vertical hole you will get 7' of pay zone, if you drill horizontal and stay in the 7' pay zone you can get 5000' + pay out of the same well producing 5-7 times more gas as a vertical well. The diagram on the left is like looking at the well it the section view and the right diagram is the aerial view as in flying a plane over the well.

Well, I just paid $1.75 today and that is what the national average as reported on the radio today. I also heard that $1.75 is the lowest since March of 2004 and that it could drop another $0.25 soon.
I know our expert in the field, VV has explained the price to be as simple as supply and demand but it would seem there has to be more to it.
$4.25 to $1.75 in 6 months ??????????
I hope the price of food another items come down now that transport costs are coming down so much...
