Exclamation Hey guys, just bought a velocity 30, thinkn bout an outboard bakcket?

hey guys, how expensive it would be to take out the drives and replace them with and outboard bracket. im thinkn maybe twin 250 optimaxes? any ideas?

Two optimax's around 35K new. rigging another 8K +++ body work to fill the holes from the drives, so I'd say 40-55K total and a big hole under the hatch. Would be cheaper to put a couple big blocks and your drives may be good? I'm finding some good deals on good rebuilt motors.

sounds good, what kinda deals are we looking at, because i have no idea about big blocks, what kind of price do they normally cost?

Call Tedd at links marine 302-368-2860, he owned and rigged a 30' Velocity with trip 300s and also a 30' with twin 250s he will certainly help you out.Tell him Glen sent you.

Pretty sure the triple o/b setup was on a 32, but same concept. It would be worth the phone call though!! Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained!!!!

thanks alot WildWarrior i will definitely give him a call, i got a 1980 velocity 30, im not sure what power was in it but im guessin it had big blocks in it.
