Default Prop Suggestions

i got a 260 2000 the 24ft.er. i hit some crap in the ocean the other day and lost my prop and broke the prop shaft. repairs are underway i was running an xr drive and a 454 with a bravo 1 24 pitch, im going to need a new prop the boat would run around 70 on the gauge , and was wondering what kind of performance u other guys got out of the different props you have tried. with the bravo 1 the engine would only spin 4500, any bodys 2 cents would be appreciated. i am thinking of trying a hydromotive 22, get some more rpms and maybe some more speed

Sam,
I have a 2001 260.. used to run a hydro 24 with the original 310hp motor.. I liked that prop..
Went to a 540 motor with 660hp and ran a bravo 1 28 for the last 2 yeras.. never liked it.. too much bow lift and not enough stern lift

Just got a 5 blade Hydro and LOVE it.. great prop..

my 2cents

I'm running a 26p B1 on my boat and it's a little too big as I'm only getting 4400-4600rpm depending on the load.
I've been thinking about trying a 24p QIV. Do you still have that prop?

Hi John,
I've not ever run a QIV so I can't make you an offer with testing it first.
If you can trust I'll send it back, I'd love to give it a try.
I'll pay the shipping obviously...

24p Hydro QIV Right hand, right?
