Default New 220 being built

I traded my 22 Velocity in and partnered with friend. Velocity is building a new 220 for us. It will have a Merc 525EFI with an ITS drive in it. My old 22 was a blast. This one should be impressive.

Are you sure that's going to be enough HP to keep it on plane?

Congrats! Are you having your layup done with S-glass and vinylester resin?

Really? When I talked to velocity they said they wouldn't rig a 220 boat with hp500 let alone a 525. Prolly aren't so picky now, just happy to sell a boat. I'll be interested to know how the set it up and how it handles. Keep us updated!

Default Engine is in

The Engine is in. The x dimension is 5 1/2 in higher than my old one. They are having to raise the engine cover to accomodate the engine. The nice thing is it is easy to get to the bilge. I will try to post photos.

Yeah, post some pictures of your windshield. I was looking to replace my broken windshield on my 2004 Velocity 220 and Steve said that they are now using a newer version on a 22 thats being built since the company who made the original version has folded. That was probably your boat he was referring to.

I like the idea of building a little rocket. Put the long tabs on it to help keep it down in the rough. I just went from the Dana 900's to the 1000's and it does make a difference in rough water. Nothing better than whipping the twins when they think they have you beat.
