It was 30° at 7am this morning when I left for work.
Good thing I winterized the engine last night.
I also pulled the drive and threw a temporary cover over to keep the leaves off.
I'll plan to put her to bed for the Winter over Thanksgiving so if anyone wants to have a look, now is the time...

Hi Chris,
My guess is that I'll be running the same boat next year. I've only had 6-7 calls and no offers. It's OK, the wife will be happy if we are still in this boat. It's nice and safe for the kids and we can bring lots of friends out.
I saw you out in your boat idling by taking pictures while I was stuffing my face with pizza. Yes, we did go north, but not all the way to Hartford.
Say hi to your wife for me and we'll see you on the river come spring...

still for sale
Well, I continue to get some calls, but still no offers. It's OK though; I'll be happy to be running her again come spring.
I pulled the batteries, life jackets, and cabin cushions out this past weekend. The winter covers on so let it snow.
Here are a few shots my brother-in-law sent me yesterday from our boyz trip to Block Island this past August.

Thanks Rick.
We used to outlaw cameras on the boyz trip but as we have mellowed, they are allowed...

I like your boat and pictures Patrick. You couldn't replace it for your price you have on it. Hope you change your mind come spring.

Thanks VV; the odds are we will be keeping her.
My thoughts have been to down size to something that we can ski off. I only ran the boat out in the open water 4 times this past season and found myself pulling kids around on a tube more often than not. If I can get the wife and kids to make a few longer trips out into the Long Island Sound and Ocean then I can justify having a 28. If we're just going to hang in the CT River tubing and beaching it, a 20-22foot makes more sence.
I've also been thinking about a 15-18ft low cost outboard skiing boat or CC in addition to the 28. That would be the best of both worlds. We'll see how Christmas and the tax season go first though.
