Pit,
Did you just switch to the 5 blade hydro?
I just put a 26 P5 on my 260 with 540Ci 640 hp motor.. Good running prop.. Lost a little on the top end compared to the 26 bravo though..

So the second tach verified my rpm was correct. The leak down I did on the engine tells the story of why I couldnt break4500. The doosh bag I am in the process of sueing for the attempt at rigging my boat hooked up the sea water pump backwards which led to me over heating the engine first start up. I should heve the heads back on it next week for the real number. The high 5 is the only prop I have had the chance to run. Just got the boat togrther last month.

Whats you drive ratio? You must be getting hooked up alot better than me with that 5 blade, best I could do with a 4 blade hydro 28 was 78.3 at 5450rpm. 1000rpm more and I'm only going 1 mph faster.

hp500 so 470hp 5450rpm, 78.3 gps. I know the rpm is right because I'm up against the rev limiter, the speed is on gps. 1.50 bravo drive.

My boat ran about 83 with an HP500.My engine is a 509"585tq/595hp at the crank.Steve Stepp told me I might see 90. I would think you should be in the 80s.Do you see a tall rooster?Does the boat chine walk?Have you measured the height of the gear case?
