Default Anyone guess what goes here?

I have a 44mm diameter hole on my foredeck just behind the central cleat with 4 no screw holes at 43mm centres. The screws only pierce the outer laminate of the deck.

I have the pop up nav light and the pop up cleat on the foredeck (as she left the factory) but someone has since fitted something else leaving me with this hole!

I thought it might have been a lifting eye but the hole is to small for any that i know of. I suppose it could have been a search light? I thought it may have been a cabin vent but its located forward of the cabin mirror and so would not work. Im not up to speed with USA Nav light requirements so do not know if any additional lighting is necessary?

Any ideas anyone?

Also, can anyone tell me who makes the antenna bases that fit on the side of the boat above the rubbing strake and require a large hole through to the inside? The long fold down whippy type.

Thanks in advance.

Cup holder? You need a place to set you beer when tending to the anchor.

I don't know. You could open it up a bit for a larger diameter deck access hatch and put a rope locker in the nose. That is what I am planning to do with mine everntually...

"Cup Holder", I like it.

What about a "Sirius" sattellite receiver?

Thanks for the link Ted, i think you could be right.

We dont use these on sports boats in the UK, (though i dont know why)!

I guess you keep the anchor in the boat and carry it up front and connect to the rope before throwing overboard as there is nowhere to store the anchor up front.

No the boat has never raced.

My money is on the "Deck Pipe", i have ordered one so i will know for sure once it turns up if it fits and the holes line up.

Thanks anyway.
