I am looking at the eddie marine tabs but not sure of the lenght i should use..they have the 12X17 n the 12X24.. just wondering what most people r running on there 260's...also the location for them on the transome..

Mine came from the factory with Dana Marine 900's. I switched to the Dana Marine 1000 plates ( from 17" to 24"). Both work well. Since the boat is only 24' ,I figure the longer the tabs the better when it gets rough.

I am running the Lenco Electric 16 x 12 Heavy Duty tabs on my 260 and so far so good. Super easy to install as well, being electric there are no pumps to deal with.

If you speak with Steve at the factory, he will most likely recommend that you mount them in the center of the second chine, as he recommended on a 260 i had several years ago. I had the Lenco's. They worked very well, but they were a little slower than hydraulic.
