Weight savings on a 22 O/B?
Ive been reading alot and have thought about trying to save weight on our 98.The thing ive noticed that seems odd to me is that even with kevlar hulls in the 94 ish and up hulls the speeds dont seem all that much different.Anyone know how much weight would make a difference?Im only talking bout the newer style Steve Stepp 22' O/B's.The 84-85 hulls are a total different animal and the years between were Regals.Any ideas what the actual weight difference between the Kevlar boats and the standard ones is?Ive heard these could also be ordered with a cuddy cabin delete option.Deleting that isnt a option for me since its out family boat, just kinda corious what speed defferences there was.

Since no one had any specific 22' OB info for you, I can contribute this little factoid. There's only a 2 to 3 MPH difference between the kilo race version of a VR1 (light weight) and a similarly powered stock boat (obviously without a lot of cargo). Since the 22' is a lighter boat, the MPH difference should even be less.
