Default Getting the bugs worked out of the vr1

Well the boat has been sitting for a few years and after cleaning the fuel tank and injectors its alive.!!
Ran 77.2 at 5100 rpm,s with a bone stk.27 hydro 4 blade and then ran a full race lab 29 hydro 4 blade at 78.8 at 5000 rpm,s. So the 29 is off to Mike at hulls to loosen it up a bit.
Called Innovations and that engine that they built for the f1 class made 461 hp at 5100 rpm,s. We had the computer redone and now we can spin it to 5600. Back then it ran a best 83.4 with Mike from Hulls steering and I was throttling at the toys for tots run.
Its defiantly getting bigger power soon.

If you throw all the beer cans overboard you should be able to crack 80!

I was almost jealous of that yellow beast until I looked at my own 290sc in the garage this morning. Let us know when she cracks 80!

It should be there now. Mike just made some adjustments to the prop and I just added a hatch scoop. Not getting enough cold air. engine room temp is 20 deg warmer than out side. That was the key on all my 390,s lots of air in , lots of hot air out. Those little air holes on the side are not enough.

was funny

Great job btw. How about some pix's? 80 is flying for a single and especially w/that much power. Shows the efficiency of the Velocity hull design.
