Have seen some leave them off, put flappers or mufflers on the tips thru the transom!! Just a thought! good luck!

Any luck? I know of at least 6 sitting here in Jersey even a few earlier models. I think the bolt on which was the platform as well. Let me know I will put you in touch with the guy.
