Block needed 9.800 ASAP
I need a std. deck (9.800) block right away. Preferrably a Merlin, Dart or even a Bow Tie. It needs to be a 4.500 bore or larger. The actual bore size I need is 4.602. So anything smaller than that will work. Also prefferably something close to Chicago for quick shipping.
If you have one that will work for me, call me at 708-870-2572.......ASAP
Thanks,..... Frank

I have a Merlin block that is completely machined and ready to build in the swap section. Bore is 4.500. Make a decent offer and it can be on its way to you tomorrow.

Actually, the current block is a Merlin, and has 5 or 6 sleeves, because of cracks that come from the head bolt holes to the cylinder bores. He wants to stay away from the Merlins, because when you go to a bore size of 4.600 or larger, they seem to all start having this problem. He wants to wait for a Dart or possibly a Bow Tie block. We need a 4.600 bore size to finish to 4.602, and the .904 lifter bore holes too if possible. That can always be done when the block is being finish honed.
Thanks alot for all the help.

Thanks Tom. I will see my friend at the strip this weekend. Send me a PM with the price of the 4.560 block, and if he is interested in it, I'll let you know ASAP.

Sa Newbie I am not sure of all the technical specs but I have a 454 425 HP HO mercruiser block that I just took out of my Checkmate.
I am in Chicago so I could figure a way to hand it off if it works for you.
