I would check those engines out carefully. To the best of my knowledge, those 1550's were in that OL when it rolled over at Smoke on the Water and killed some of the occupants.

You are correct. However they were rebuilt by Brad Smith a couple yrs ago I assume they are good but have no real knowledge about them.

We are checking out the details on this set now.
They are EFI and mine are not. I would like a little more plug and play so if we break we are down less than a few weeks but I'm being told it might not be a big deal to have one set EFI and the other carburatated.

Hope it works out, I am sure you'll need electic fuel pump for these as the EFI tends to need alot more fuel pressure.
Also Randy at MTI has a set of Big chief motors built by Keith Eikert that may be for sale. They are very similiar to yours being Big Chief and Carbs. They are also suppose to be fresh, and look to be. They are from Gerry Castelts MTI
