Default BBC headers for dyno use

I have my local machinist/engine builder talked into letting me set up his dyno to run boat motors on completely wet. What does everyone think of this idea? Is there a need/market for this service? In order to get this accomplished, I will need a set of boat headers to install O2 and EGT sensor bungs in. I personally do not have an old set laying around, but thought that someone might have a set that is perhaps beat up a little or maybe has been repaired that they don't need any more. I am not looking to spend a fortune to get this done, maybe $500 or so. Perhaps someone would donate an old set for a free dyno session if I could get it worked out. Let me know what you have. Thanks, Joe

I have a pair of CMI 525 headers that were welded and pressure tested this past summer. They are from a partial stagger so the port header is leaned in and the starboard header is straight up. I no longer own the boat they came from. I'd be willing to sell them to you for $500 plus the shipping.

If I remember correctly, the 525's have a different bolt pattern. Can the headers be drilled to fit the standard BBC bolt pattern?

I believe they can, but someone more knowledgeable than me should confirm...
