Hi
looking for split set of Carrillo H-beam BBC rods 1-2 rods would be fine I have weighed mine at its 818 grams (28.18 ounces) I was informed mine were Carrillo rods, or could be other brand 26097 written on side of rod if it helps, Please advise if some one recognizes them please send PM https://photos.google.com/album/AF1Q...e_iAKwksWXzSNU https://photos.google.com/album/AF1Q...vBDnyLrRLKdjVX |
If you do find out what brand they are ( I can't see your pics for some reason) you can call and order the amount you need with the desired weight probably from the manufacturer. I had to replace 2 Crower I beams in my drag race motor, called them up and they sent out 2 the exact weight to match the others.

I think they are eagle rods , most guys that spend the money on carillo's use the carr sps bolts. it says carillo on the bolt. Also you are gonna need the big end weight and the pin end weight . You will need a rod balance scale for that , not just a regular scale . I would call carillo and eagle and give them that number on the rod and see if it works.

Thanks for the reply over the weekend had a decent look at the rods, and I was miffed a little on the ID, **** they all look the same to untrained eye So as suggested fired a note off to CP-Carrillo with pictures hoping they would ID the rod Yes they came back and advised the rods were in fact Carrillo, however someone had down graded the rod bolts to ARP2000 The rod part # on looking for is Pro-H C 427-7685H which comes with WMC bolts The weight is 814 grm Although on Carrillo website it lists bob weights as: WMC bolts: 807/570/228 Carr bolts: 815/587/228 So sounds like to get everything correct I need the Pro-H rod and change all the rod bolts to suit, although I need to accurately weigh the rods I have and check bob weights which will do latter this week as need to pick up crank from being machined ARP 2000: 220ksi Carrillo WMC: 220 ksi ARP L19: 260 ksi Carillo Carr: 285 ksi SO HAS ANYONE ANY SINGLE RODS? |
Just wanted to test new software out, thumbs up

just heard back from CP-Carrillo and have some additional information
fantastic customer service and technical support The rod alone can vary 10 grams over different batches. Those rods you have were made in 2004 WMC bolts weigh 38 grams per bolt CARR bolts weigh 41 grams per bolt Not sure what the ARP2000 bolt weighs Taking the bolts out of the rod we have, gives a rod only weight of 738 grams anyone out these with some off 6.385: carrillo rods???? |

I have a set of supposed to be Manley I beams at 6.535. $100 if you could make them work.

I think you are going to be hard pressed to find just 2 rods. I have a set of 6 Oliver rods sitting on a shelf for this same reason... like another poster stated, you can't use total weight. You will need the big end and pin weight. Good luck!
