Speed
I have a 1999 Warlock 29 with an HP-500 (Carb) with 100 hours on it, a 28" pitch bravo one prop. At full throttle I am turning 4800 RPMs. The best I can get out of it is 72.5mph. (1/3 tank of gas). Does anyone have any ideas on how to tweak my top end up a bit... I love the boat it is so awesome in rough water, I just would like a little more speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my 28p labbed and cut down to 14 1/2" and picked up about 2mph on my 27 Warlock. I did calculate that I got more slip tho. The big improvement was in the handleing. Got rid of alot of the chine walk and torqueing over. I've since added about 150 hp and am able to spin a 30p labbed. Picked up about 5mph over the 28 in the mid range. Your welcome to try my 28 if you feel like towing down here. (FT Myers)I'll probably come up to the Sarasota races if you want to wait till then. You may want to try a 26p non labbed in the meantime. You should pick up the rpms and speed some. Most 29's with a 500 seem to run best with that setup. Stay away from the Hydromotives..they just dont seem to work on a Warlock. Me and several friends have tried them.
Ive been told dropping the X dim a tad helps some too. I want to find out more about that tho before I try it.
When did you get your Warlock?
