I took the hoses off the sea pump on the port sea pump to prepare for replacing the impellers. Hope to be able to simply get the back of the pump off and replace the impeller/plug, gaskets, and contact surfaces. The Starboard one is going to be a real problem so I will take it out completely and do it on a work bench.
Got the non functioning port bilge pump out and have another one showing up with the impellors this week. Also am replacing the anodes because they look so rotten - means they have been working. I got Magnesium for fresh water per the guys recommendation. I should have two new props for my elevation too - 6300 ft! 24 pitch vs 28 pitch. Get the 24 pitch labbed and I should be able to get 5600 rpm - I hope.
Everyone, thanks for your help! I am mechanically inclined, but new to high performance boats and Cats. All of you have given me a lot of insight to be able to do it myself or get an expert to help me - as in Tres Martin.
