Depends I how your hooking up and what kind of power. A 5 blade might help if ur slip numbers are hi. I ran a Maximus on mine and like it.

Cool

I have a modified H.P.500.With the current setup it'll run 83 on the gps speedo even on dead flat water.More extensive mods soon to come so i was just wonderin what Warlock cat's seem to like best.I currently have no slippage problems.Like almost everyone else, just got to have mo speed problems!

im running a mild 468 with water injected headers, isky roller cam, roller rockers, 750 dp, 088 heads in my boat. maybe 500 hp (prolly less) standard bravo 1 drive w/lwp and nosecone.

ive only got to try a few props on mine before winter set in, hydromotive 28 and 29 and a 28 outboard race prop. all of the props felt very strong on top end but hte outboard prop was a ***** to get on plane. the 29 felt like it was a bit much and was lugging the engine. couldnt be sure becaus the new tach that i had just installed crapped out on me.

the 29 hydro runs 83 on gps. slick glass water, 600 pounds of people and 3/4 tanks of fuel. i only ran the boat once with this prop and this was the only time i have ever gpsd the boat.

most experts seem to favor the bravo props accross the board. i have a 26 and 28 bravo im going to try this spring.

I would stick with a 4 blade especially if your slip numbers are good. No real benefit from a five until a lot more power. You also need to turn that motor harder. Run it to 5300 for the best power and speeds.

As per Brad Nickerson i should see a minimum of 650 h.p. with the mods i'm plannin.I'm tryin to do things in a manner as to let myself room to grow.Finished product should produce 850 h.p.Would a maximus be in order at that time?

Thats good power the 500's make around 550 in real life so another 100 is 10 plus mph(: 850 will be another world and might not be much fun in a 25. You will get into things like tabs etc. Do you have full hyd. steering? A Maximus will def be a possibility at that power level. What kind of drive are you planning on using?
