5 blade on a 29 WC
Has anyone run a herring or a hydromotive on their 29. Mine is set up with really high X and I get a ton of slip. Been hearing a lot of good things about those two props on V's with high X's. Just looking for someone with real world experience.

What kind of power do you have..??
I have not had succes with the current Hydromotive at all...it makes the back to light..wont come on plane way too much slip..we always use York for all our race props..you may want to check with OffshoreAddiction he races one as well.....I run a labbed 28 with a 500EFI..
I spoke with Hydromotive a month ago and they told me they would not be ready to give me one of their new ones until spring..they said I would have to work with them again if I was interested in hte new 5 blade
I have not tried the Herring....
You may also want to contact PROPCO Propellers or ThrottleUp

I'm running about 600 hp, 1.5 gears and a 30" bravo prop right now, would probably run a bit better with a labbed 32. Getting too much slip and stern lift, Can't quite carry the bow above 4800 rpm and getting a slight porpoise that is scrubbing speed at top end. Will probaly have my bravo's worked by York this spring but just curious about the 5 blades.

Hey Koko
Long time no chat
Friend of mine had a whippled 29 with the same prob as you. Turned out to be the bottom had a bad hook. You may want to put a straight edge on it and check. I think he ran a York 30p
Ive tried Hydros and never had any luck as well. But maybe some have

Dan,
Yea I've been thinking about having the boat lifted off the trailer and the bottom worked on, but don't really know what to have done (other than remove any hook that might be there). Any suggestions.
Flash,
I'll keep it in mind. Not going to be on the water any time soon.

Is your prop still for sale? I have a 29 warlock world class. 575 with chiller. Msd ignition. Smaller blower pully. What size prop do i need? It has a 32 now. It walks bad at high speeds
