My family has owned in Kona (on the big island) since the 60's. The water on the west side of the island is nice and it would be killer to run a boat there. I've been into Offshore boats since I can remember and always wondered why I'd never seen any offshore boats over there all those years. My dad said there was a guy that had a 35' Cig in the early 80's but that was the only one he'd ever seen.
A couple of years ago a buddy (who owned a Tiger at the time) and I were over there and he was SERIOUSLY looking into shipping the Tiger over for a month or so. Figured shipping would be 5-8k one way at the time.
We looked into it a little more and talked to some people. Supposidly they're VERY strict on what type of boats runs off the coast, something about you can only run at certain times of the year and have to be so far off the coast, etc. etc. Basically sounded like a real pain in the azz.
We're over there a couple times a year and I ALWAYS wish I could run the Cig!

Here's some pics from our condo 1st) looking north/west across the salt water pool next door to us...2) My wife and daughter standing at the pool next to ours (that's Kristi Brinkleys old house in the back ground)...3) Just another sh!tty sunset!

....By the way, YES WE DO VACATION RENTALS!!
