Restoring old boats its a fools game, unless you really love it and get great satisfaction and enjoyment from it.
An example of most Classic boat restos go something like this - You buy something that should be given away. You spend (Money sums just used for arguments sake - we all know it get get way higher than this example) $20-30k PLUS a ton of hours of your own time, for the restoration - and what you end up with is a beautiful boat someone wouldnt pay over $15k for!
