I have 2 Marine power 502 engines that will need a new home. I am converting the boat to outboards. These are first gen factory fuel injected engines.
The starboard engine (counter rotation) was overhauled by a race shop in Pearland Texas about 2 years ago. It has around 100 hours on it. It starts easily and runs very strong. I have the paperwork on the overhaul.
The port engine is of unknown hours. It starts well but will not turn up when in gear, however it will rev to high RPM when not in gear. I have no idea what is wrong with it. I am pricing the two engines with the understanding that the port engine may need an overhaul.
The engines are currently still in the boat. I plan to pull them out of the boat in late march / early april. While they are still in the boat I am more than willing to let anyone interested see them and run them so you may ascertain their condition. They are located in Galveston Texas.
The engines have Velvet drive transmissions that seem to work perfectly. The V drives also work.
You will get:
-velvet drive transmissions
-all 4 drive shafts
- 2 sets of controls, rubber exhaust tubes and the in line "mufflers" that are inside them.
-A box of service/ spare parts (extra belts, fuel filters and other misc stuff)
