As far as comparing the three builders mentioned (Progression, Activator, and Superboat) they all are different animals and have different qualities that would make a difference to each individual consumer. If you want an entry level Performance Boat you will lean toward the Superboat because of the price. If you want an all out speed machine you will end up with the Activator. And if you want a purely custom piece with creature comforts that the other two can not provide in there 29 or 30 you will buy the Progression..

All a matter of taste and also how you will use the boat.

This is the new Tuff 28. I am shocked at the build quality of some of these other boats. Sorry my camera lens is dirty.
The grey thing is the plug, it is CNC.
This is part of the layup of the new Tuff 28. 3/4 balsa on the bottom, 5/8 on the sides, all VACUUM bagged.

RLW,

That 38' Activator(AfterShock) that you posted pics of has been recently purchased by someone in Jersey and should be on an OPA race course in 2006. The new owner and throttleman are very excited. That boat is getting a set of superV motors in it.

Time will tell on it's performance. I really haven't heard of any bad Activators.
The picture is just part of my collection of Activator pics.

Aftershock had tanks in the sides, at one time it was setting on Marks floor and he was going to move the tank to the bottom, I'm not sure if he ever compleated it.

Some more shots from the summer... I think the pictures speak for themselves as to how good this boat handles the rough water!!

How much with a 496 ho, and how fast, real nice looking boat.

Re: Brand New 29'9 Activator

Faster Than Anything Else With A 496ho. Picks Dont Do These Boats Justice. They Are Nicer In Person. Lots And Lots Of Attention To Detail.
