Default Activator vs Superboat y2k

Have been looking real hard at the y2k, here some good things about the boat, and love the way it looks. But now I have been looking at the 30 Activator and would like for some
input on it. And how it compairs to the y2k. Thanks for any info.

700 in a 30 Activator runs over 100 every day, in just about any conditions. Two of my friends have them and LOVE them.

Search OSO for posts by BJM. He has a new 30 with 700hp/IMCO drive.

There is a Y2K for sale w/a 600SCI which the guy say does 82-84.....Activator goes a lot faster with that kind of power from what I hear (a 525 dialed in will get it to 85)

Check out this link from the Activator website:

http://www.activatorboats.com/Press.php

It shows test results for 2 east coast boats(Activator and Superboat) and 2 west coat boats(Advantage and Eliminator). All boats had 525's. Activator ran 79 and Superboat ran 72.

Dave, your right. I was there for the testing and photo shoot. The Activator was 2.2 MPH faster then the Y2K. The Activator was also running a shorty with a 6 blade Herring. You forgot to mention that Garys boat was the first generation Y2K hull. The new hull is 3-5 MPH faster then the old one.
