I couldn't pull out a motor, well maybe w/ one of my warehouse guys and my forklift, but it'd be ugly and my gunnels:eek:

But yes, i'd say if you are not prepared to pull and go through and/or rebuild a real big HP motor on a used boat... don't get involved, cuz it's the right way to do things. You can see guys buying cheap boats thinking they got a sicko deal, only to find out after 1-2months the boat needs new power.

Just because I am asking questions and making observations does not mean I am a "tire kicker". Brians 27 Activator was a great deal, the sum of the parts alone was worth way more than it went for. Yeah, I bid on it and did not get it. Wasn't truly what I wanted. In MY opinion, I would not want a boat that someone was selling that had issues they did not address and fix as soon as they appeared. And still ran it that way. Makes me wonder what else that may have had issues that may have not been addressed.

You know what, I do not have the kind of money you guys have, so I cannot just go out and buy a 30 plus footer and throw a 1000 HP engine into it and blow it up every other time I take it out. BUT... I do know what things really cost. I have done my share of full frame off car restorations, and if anything can suck up money like a boat its a classic muscle car. I do the majority of the work myself, and do it very well thank you.

I love boating, I have been doing it all my life. Granted they were all on the smaller side and they were all lots of fun! I am on OSO because I am looking for something in the neighborhood of a 24 footer (Pantera or Superboat, 25 Active Thunder). I don't need people like you telling me I don't belong in this sport because you assume things about me you don't even know.

97 x race boat but its a fully completed cabin its called chaos. boat is beyound mint from the last time i saw it. It had a 540 but he removed that and put a 454 365h.p.?? i believe that was rebuilt to 450 h.p.??? i think i mean i can get all the specs if needed. I believe he was asking 40k came to 38k and now is at 35k. Has an imco drive with exstetion box 380 k planes dual tach/or speedo forgot and nice platfor there are pics on here if you want the link ill find it.
