Clean boat. Looked it at a couple weeks ago for a friend. Not one scratch anywhere, interior a solid 9, engine room spotless, lightening exhuast. Just absolutley flawless. Could not find an imperfection anywhere...... and if you've ever seen my boat at Jeff's shop, you can see how anal I am about my boat. Downfall.... about 8-9mph slower than the kryptonite with same power, 5mph slower than a regularly stepped activator. I think that boat has a lot more in it, because they're getting 79mph with 620hp. Should run 82.

or you could always buy my boat. Brand new JCPERFORMANCE power IMCO lower :)

yes... i know you saw it.
And it does seem kind of slow, but it's also an 88.
Maybe the 6blade herring has something to do w/ it.
That's alot of prop to spin. May be faster w/ a 4blade, but may handle better w/ a 6.
I know how i use a boat... and it wouldn't be over 80 very much. 50-60mph would be a nice daily cruise speed.

And your boat is nice...
But I much prefer the look of a flat transom, and well.... your boat has alot of yellow. :D
It's subjective... ya know.

Is this the one that has had the teak trim around the cuddy door redone with stainless or aluminum? If so it was around my way a couple years ago. Very clean. I would check the tank though...some were fiberglass some aluminum.

mc240, why didn't your bud act on it?

Stormrider 09-21-2010 08:24 PM

and i know i sound like a broken record, but it's not the boat, or even the upkeep... its the storage thats the killer $.

My buddie has the first 27 made with the original fiberglass tank and no issues to date. So I would not have any concerns about the tank . A 27 is very trailerable so storage should not be an issue.

z.... coming from a lineage of sportfisherman in my family, trailering is not in the vocabulary. I disliked just taking my boat home to do drive oil changes.
