Default 27 Activator ?'s

Looking for winter project... But, before I jump into one I'd like to know if a 27 can handle over 1000hp? And if so is it gonna be a wild ride like my 24ft baja with 900?

Well it's like this. Just totaled the Baja 30mph hit a rock pile... Motor in boat is 540 efi procharger that's for sale. Have brand new 598 on engine stand needs to go on dyno should make 1200hp no problem. I have imco sc drive -2 lower fresh ready to go... That's kinda where I'm at. Just looking for something that will handle the 598 cause there is no way my baja was gonna take it. I need something I can keep on a trail or and can tow with my Toyota Tacoma that's why I'm thinking Activator 27...

I would say 1200 is way overkill for a 27. Not saying it wouldn't be fun, but you would probably run out of boat before you could use all the ponies. Tune down the 598 to help save the drive and go for it. They are great rough water boats, built like brick schit houses.

Send Mark @ Rage Powerboats an email. He will make a blank 30 hull for your engine set up

Question is. Is my little Taco gonna pull a 30 and better yet is it gonna stop? That's why I was thinking 27. I've pulled a 28 with no problem but I knew it was back there...

Sounds like you have some good reasons for a 27. It is a very efficient hull that is built very well and is easy to pull. My only thought would be that because it is so efficient 1000 or more HP would be overkill. 800 would have have you over 100 mph. I
Love my 27 because of its size and handling and it runs 90 with around 650. I'm sure someone will chime in here that knows about a 27 with big HP.
