I don't own an activator, but I'm looking to see how man lbs struts you guys use on your fiberglass hatches ? I have a velocity and want to do a similar set up. 130lbs a side ? Or more ?

Thanks-

I use 80 lb struts on the 32's hatch. No upholstery on the hatch, just a scoop.

It works pretty good ? Holds the hatch up. I just get nervous of the wind blowing and the hatch falling on my head haha

Yes, they work well. Their efficiency depends on hatch weight and strut mounting location, good luck.

I just bought two 80lbs struts 24" extended because wanted hatch open as close to 90° as possible if i had to get in belge area. I ended up using only one strut. Light lift on hatch and it opens on it own.
