2004 37 Avh

Someone posted a very nice used 37 in the classifieds that looks VERY nice and is out here in Northern CA. Anyone know anything about this boat ??

Pat, what is the difference on the 37' with and without ITS ??

Pat built that boat as a "west coast special" poker run edition. The boat made a few media appearances, and I believe the owner is a SCOPE member. I talked to Clark (crb76) about the boat last night. He said the boat is in immaculate condition. There is also a video of that boat running on the Active Thunder website. Look at the bottom of the Active Owners page.

AT prefers not to install ITS on the 37AVH, as the boat just does not need the setback. The props are already in clean water due to the dramatic step and hull design. A couple boats have had setback boxes installed (Stelling), and the boat just does not need them.

The aesthetic advantage of the ITS is a less populated transom, over the Marine Machine steering that is normally installed. OverActive, which is currently being built by ActiveShack here on OSO decided with Pat to go with MM steering over ITS simply because the boat already performs perfectly with that setup.

That boat in CA is a great boat at a great buy. Snatch it up.

the ITS is not worth the expence but it doe's look better and makes easier clean up but still not worth it. That 37 looks like a great buy, wish it was closer or he had posted more pics of it .. I would like to see what the cabin looks like.

The 2006 boat @ 197K is not as nice as that boat. I looked at the 2006 in NY and it needs some work. The 04 is a great deal...

Okay, so the 37' does not NEED the setback afforded by the ITS system but does or could it be of ANY benefit ??

Ascetically yes......Performance is TBD. Someone will have to build one. I was going to build one.
