Weighed my boat yesterday & Prop talk
 

We have a fork lift at my marina that has a digital scale built into it. Not sure how accurate it is, but what the hey. With just over 3/4 on the gas gauges, which by all indications is under 50 gallons a side, the boat weighed in somewhere around 9900 pounds. We figured it would be well over 10k. I guess dropping out the liner really does help on weight.

I figure the AC unit, fridge and microwave are not calculated into the factory dry weight. Right Pat? Plus all the chit I keep on board.

But, I can't get the motors to spin up over 4900. Even with empty tanks :eek: and just me on board. I know labbing these is the answer, but I just don't like having 8 razor blades hanging off the transom cause we spend alot of time in the water back there.

I have a buddy who just rebuilt his motors and is banging off the rev limiters with his stock 30's. How will these affect my cruise? I loving what I'm getting out of these 32's. I can run close to 60 at only 3500 rpms! :cool:

I weighted mine at the landfill on the trailer last year before the whipples and Bmaxs and it was 12,800.Called Myco about my trailer and they said 2500 lbs.1/2 full of fuel so thats about 700 lbs so real close with a liner to yours.Forgot about 300 lbs of beads too.

My boat and trailer weighed 12,540 with 80 gals. of gas in it. With the truck i was 20,440.

Super duty's are heavy trucks; F350 PSD 4x4 Crew cabw/ long bed is about 6,800 empty; F350 PSD 4x4 Crew cab long bed dually is about 7200 empty, add from there.

I am right at 10K-10.1K. I don’t pull over 4900RPM with the stock 32’s either. The labs I have are not sharp at all and I am getting 62mph at 3700 RPM (which is optimal consumption via smart craft for the 525 (1.82 mpg), and 87 WOT with 3/4 tanks. I just had them pitched to 32.5/ 33 and will let you know what they do this next weekend. Brett thinks they will pick up 2 mph on top and 2 mph in the mid with the new mods. I was pulling around 5300 with them being 32 labs. I have the serial number if you want to send yours to Merc or Brett at Bblades.

The Maximus at 29/29.5 pitch and 15/14 is probably the best cruise prop. Talk to Mark about that. His mid numbers were outstanding.

Very good numbers Clark! I would be very happy with that!! I guess Brett does not lab his props the way Throttle Up does. How much to have him lab these 32's?

I know Mark is getting outstanding numbers with his 5 bladers. Problem for me is they are drive killers down here on the lower Chesapeake with the big water we regularly run in.

brett is the best with existing props. Throttle up is good with custom jobs. Brett charges between $300-$400 per wheel.
