Not much action on the 37.....
With Eggbeaters.
But the e-mails and phone calls are overwhelming on the 33 with twin OBs. Is this the ticket? Positive input is totally appreciated! |
Here is my positive input captain. You are a custom boat builder. Build the customer whatever they want. I just would not positively put one in the show.
|
I really hate to be the first here, I can't aford one But I think the 33 is the way to go and would be a better performer with the clamp-ons. And the 37 is an icon and should be left as is.... Just my worthless 2cts (edit)--- OH good Clark beat me

well the outboard's throw the c-g-s off ?
|
Well it seems to be working for Concept. Would this be a twin or tripple set up?

When I am ready to upgrade to twins I would go with a 33 with twin or maybe triple outboards. But I am just dreaming for now. Ease of winterizing, fuel economy, noise restrictions getting tougher, and easier maintaince will lean me towards going back to outboards when the time comes.
Just thinking trips might be needed for a proper top end speed near the twin 525's???? or would the less weight equal it out?? |

pat hit the nail on the head , by taking out some of the bow weight "liner" it should be just fine with the lighter weight motor's on the back :party-smiley-048: |
If it dont make good noise (LIKE A BIG BLOCK) it is not the same when in a performance boat. people like to SEE and HEAR a true performance boat like the active thunder.
thats just my 02 |

egg beaters are great on the rite type of boat like yours, im just not a fan of them on a performance boat. |
I have to agree with MM ( did I say that?) a rendering would help .
|
you could also make the cockpit a few feet larger and make the sunpad a bit smaller :) with outboard's
|
Maybe the 33 is the ticket although I think a 28 would be kick-azz.
Concepts 30 (28) Sport deck is pushing 80 with twin 275's. I have seen where some readers really like the idea of the O.B sport boat say they need more length. So the 33 could capture that market. Rumor is Concept is coming out with a Sport Deck 36 but that is a 33 with a bracket like all their boats.. Beat 'um to it with a "true length hull". Go For It BIG BOY!!!!:signs069: :D :D |
If you build it 'they will come':D :signs069:

I think a 33' w/ twin OBs would be a much more versatile & practical boat than a 37 w/ trips. I think most people looking in that market are looking to downsize from what they have & add cockpit area. My parents have never stayed the night on the boat, nor will they ever.. That is why they are looking to change to something different w/ more cockpit area. No one is willing to offer that unless you are interested in a perf. C/C.

It's simply a matter of time until the laws are passed for emissions & mufflers on boats. They have all but killed 2-stroke outbaord motors.
