2005 28 A/t ??
What would you think a reasonable offer would be?
What speeds at 2-3 seas? Do you know anything about this boat? http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/4/9/89495049.htm |
That boat has been repowered with a 525 Cap. Boat runs well can't remember the numbers.
|
I remember seeing this boat last year for sale.............
|
The boat will run mid 70's in ideal conditions. I dont know about 2-3 foot chop but I have seen one do 45-50mph is 6-8 footers! Right Mike! :)
A new one is 125K to 135K, so 87K sounds really right to me. |
Boat is owned by Vic aka "risky" here on OSO. He is an extremely nice guy. Shoot him a PM and ask him about it. The boat is currently listed with a broker; and the price on the listing is according to such.
That boat will run 73-74mph consistently, and 75mph in ideal conditions. Shoot a PM to "boatfreak" here on OSO for his input on how his 28AT handled 3-4s with occasional 8s in Miami in January of this year. The boat just crushes waves. It weighs about 4800-5000lbs dry. CAP0, drop me a PM if you want to speak privately. I can help with financing and just about anything you may need. I am also in Phili at the moment; until 6PM today. This boat will NOT disappoint. Vic is contemplating moving up to a 33AT. |

I am fortunate to be able to keep it now, but it would have sold for low 60's. Vic's boat is priced right, worth every penny if condition is true as advertised. Shoot me a pm if you want. Chris |
Sharp boat. A 28 active will be my next boat unless my girl talks me into something bigger.
|
I loved my 06 28 w/525 rides and handles like a much bigger boat, mid 70s..... you will not be disapointed.

Capo

the 05 28 is a nice boat no doubt and is on a MYCO...bottom line is its worth what someones looking to pay for it. GOOD LUCK WITH BOTH THE BUY AND THE SELL !!

berns
I should have had you negotiate the deal, I wish a 28 with a 525efi and a triple alum myco was 95k. This is not a sea ray and not a fountain, of course a fountain can be negotiated there are 1000 for sale. As far as sea ray goes there must be 50000 for sale. Not to disagree but right now there is 1 used 28 for sale and even with some negotiating I don't think your pricing is on...vic

I am still amazed that someone would come into the AT section & compare a fountain; just shows a lack of knowledge & info. Maybe the PRA review will help...Where's my copy???e
|
This boat was originally rigged with a 496HO/XZ. This is a "newer style" hull.
|
wasnt degrading the AT by any means and if it came off that way i apologize. i've personally bought and sold 5 boats in 4 years. its all about brand recognition. not saying the a fountain is better or worse then an AT...but i will bet you any amount of money that a fountain is easier to sell then an AT...been there dont that. reguardless of how many there are for sale. if a 28 AT is what rings your bell then by all means WRITE THE CHECK...theres an azzz for every seat, its just a matter of finding it

As far as ease of sale; I've never sold a fountain so I really don't know, but there are hundreds of Fountains for sale & only a handful of AT's. My 28 AT was for sale & I had solid offers in 30-45 days. Fortunately, I kept it! Oh well, it is what it is. |
boat was repowered because...
The 496ho was too slow for me, and I was able to get a 525 and put one in so I did it. Pick up and speed are better with a 525. If I was thinking I would have put the 575 in my boat. After all this work the boat was not big enough for my family of 5 plus a friend for each kid the boat can't handle 10 people and everyone have room . So I want to go bigger. Thanks Vic (The 496 had no issues and I sold it in 2 weeks, the boat was not beat and I blew the motor, as usual these are money pits and I am just doing my part to waste money)
|
I don't really have a dog in this fight but I sold my 28 Thunder in about 2 weeks for the exact amount I wanted out of it. I guess I should have asked more but you never know.
|
Asking price vs. selling price
Never have seen the two match, you like you make an offer you don't like move on. It is not a fire sale, if a buyer is serious make an offer. Vic

was good talking to you
